GeForce GTX 460 Rolled Out by NVIDIA
Now NVIDIA brought an economical Fermi technology through GTX 460 as compared to GTX 465, GTX 470 and GTX 480.Today NVIDIA unveiled two new midrange Graphics Cards, both are variants of GTX 460. 1GB DDR5 and 768 MB DDR5 possessing same CUDA cores of 336, Graphic and processing speed running at the clocks of 675 MHz and 1375 MHz respectively. Both are also including same features of NVIDIA 3D Vision and NVIDIA 3D Vision surround, PureVideo technology, PhysX, CUDA technology, Microsoft DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.0, Bus Support PCI-E 2.0 x 16, Certified for Windows 7, SLI ready 2-Way.
Display support features for both types involving maximum digital resolution of 2560×1600, maximum VGA resolution of 2048×1536, standard display connectors of two dual link DVI, mini HDMI multi monitor, HDCP, HDMI, internal audio input for HDMI.
Physical parameters measurement includes height of 4.376 inches (111 mm), length of 8.25 inches (210 mm), and width of dual-slot. These dimensions are similar for both 1GB DDR5 and 768 GB DDR5 models of GTX 460.
Thermal support and Power consumption specifications for both are described as maximum GPU temperature is 104 C, maximum graphics card power is 160 W, minimum system power requirement is 450 W and supplementary power connectors are of 6-pin & 6-pin.
Here comes the difference in both types of GTX 460 as memory speed of both are running at 1800 MHz but 1GB version has memory interface width of 256 bits and Memory Bandwidth 0f 115.2 GB/sec as compared to its 768 MB variant which has memory interface width of 192 bits and Memory Bandwidth 0f 86.4 GB/sec.
GTX 460 768 MB would be available from Today at price tag of $200 and its 1GB version will be expected to available at 26th of this month with price tag of $230.[via nvidia]
