Guide: Jailbreak iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G/3G Using iOS 4.1 with Sn0wbreeze 1.8

New version of Sn0wbreeze is now available to jailbreak your iPod touch 2G non MC model and iPod touch 3G. Through Sn0wbreeze 1.8 you can also jailbreak your iPhone 3GS old bootrom and jailbroken on iOS 4.x. Users can create customs firmware file without doing any update of baseband. Before starting you should create your backup data. If your iphone is unlock dependent then don’t go for iOS 4.1. The steps of complete guide are given below:

Guide Steps:

1. You must have the latest version of iTunes for Windows or Mac.

2. Now synchronize your iPhone with your computer through iTunes to keep your back-up data.
3. Get Sn0wbreeze 1.8 ,iOS 4.1 firmware file and run the program.
4. Click on “simple mode” to begin.

5. Browse and select the relevant iOS 4.1 firmware.ipsw file.

6. Program will ask you “Do you want to hactivate your iPhone?” Click “yes” to hactivate. “No” only if you are on an officially supported carrier like AT&T.

7. Jail broken custom .ipsw file will be generated for iPhone.

8. From the sidebar of iTunes select your Phone after that hold the shift key and press “restore” button then leave the shift key.

9. Your iPhone is restored to the custom firmware 4.1. Now to select the location for custom firmware 4.1 select the custom .ipsw file and press open tab.

10. Now iTunes will install the iOS 4.1 just wait and be patient for a while to complete the setup as installation progress will visible on your iPhone screen.

11. When installation completes your iPhone will be reboot, now your iPhone is jailbroken and runing iOS 4.1.

12. Once you have done jailbreak successfully you can restore your all data and old settings by restoring the backup that we metioned above.
